Nature of the organisation, its services, products etc: The National Monuments Record is England's national public archive of information on all aspects of the historic environment.It covers archaeology, architecture, air photographs and maritime sites. The Record is open for use by all. The Library is a member of Wilco.

Special services available to Wilco members: Photocopies; reference and infomation services including bibliographical checking.

Subject fields covered: English archaeology and architecture, maritime archaeology. Smaller sections on photography, heritage policy, collection care and management. English Heritage policy and properties.

Abstracting and Indexing Services:

• Online: Avery index to architectural periodicals British and Irish Archaeological Bibliography

Databases: On-line catalogue available in Library search room.

Periodical holdings lists available: Holdings available on Wilco Union List of Periodicals.

Specialised Services: The NMR operates a free enquiry and information service. NMR services include laser copying, photographic reproduction, searches by our staff using the NMR's databases.

Equipment and Facilities: Microform readers and a photocopier available to library users. A canteen is available for use by Library/NMR users.
